SYMPTOMS

For the very young:

1. The child does not seem to be able to pay attention.
2. You find yourself physically getting in front of them or on
their level to get their attention.
3. Their speech patterns do not seem to progress in a normal pattern.
4. They speak, but are hard to understand.
5. They answer questions inappropriately.
6. They have a hard time answering questions.

For Pre-Schoolers or Early Learners:
1. Does not answer questions appropriately.
2. Does not seem to grasp new concepts.
3. Has a hard time paying attention.
4. Seems to always follow, never lead.
5. Still having problems with pronunciation.
6. Phonetic spellings have errors due to mispronunciation rather than sounds.

School Age Children:
1. Poor test performance.
2. Classroom performance does not match ability level.
3. Seems easily distracted.
4. Has difficulty with tasks involving language skills.
5. Difficulty remembering multi-step directions.
6. Struggles to make or maintain social relationships.
7. Seems to always be yelling.

In All Ages:
1. Poor organization skills
2. Struggle with tasks involving short term memory
3. Have difficulty with comprehension
4. Lack of executive function
5. Struggle to stay on task
